Bridging the divide: celebrating the city

[i]Call for papers[/i] [i]ACSP — AESOP[/i] Fourth Joint Congress July 6 – 11, 2008 Chicago, Illinois [i]A major international conference on planning[/i] Following three successful ACSP-AESOP Joint Congresses in Oxford (1991), Toronto (1996), and Leuven (2003) the Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning (ACSP) and the Association of European Schools of Planning (AESOP) will hold their 2008 annual conferences together at the fourth Joint Congress in Chicago. We extend an invitation to colleagues from North America, Europe and beyond to join us in what will be a major gathering of planning scholars. The conference theme “Bridging the Divide: Celebrating the City” focuses on the mediating role of cities in conflicts between racial and ethnic groups.
