Televison Series "Vive la Vía" (Live the greenways)
Saturday 22nd October on TVE's International Channel at 14h The Spanish Railway Foundation (FFE) is co-ordinating the creation of an ambitious project of maximum interest, for the promotion of the Spanish Greenways. This project will have enormous future consequences, thanks to the collaboration of numerous sponsors and is: the television series on Greenways "Vive la Via" (Live the Greenways) This television series, comprising 11 30-minute episodes, is now in the making thanks to the collaboration of various general sponsors of the series, as well as, the sponsorship of the different promoters and management of the Greenways (see attached sheet). The first screening will be the next Saturday 22nd October on TVE’s International Channel at 14h (only for Europe at this moment). Weekly, each Saturday it will be available a new episode. [i]Production [/i]: The FFE has produced this series, the making of which has been entrusted to one of Spain’s most prestigious production companies. This company is headed by the famous environmental journalist, Luis Miguel Domínguez, who presents each episode. [i]Content[/i]. The series is made up of 11 episodes, the first of which provides a general, descriptive overview of the Greenways. Each subsequent episode is dedicated to a specific Greenway completely reconditioned, or group of Greenways. These episodes include historical accounts of the old railway lines, which have been converted into Greenways. This includes: the natural, cultural, ethnographical, historic and artistic, etc. characteristics of the terrain covered by the Greenways. Saturday 26th November 2005 Vía Verde de la Sierra (Cádiz, Sevilla - Andalucía). 3rd December 2005 Vía Verde de la Jara (Toledo – Castilla La Mancha) and Vía Verde de la Sierra de Alcaraz (Albacete – Castilla La Mancha). Saturday 10th December 2005 Vía Verde de Val de Zafán, de Terra Alta and de Baix Ebre (Teruel – Aragón; Tarragona - Catalonia).
