[i]Deutsche Bank Urban Age Award - Call for entries[/i] Mumbai, India 2007 The Alfred Herrhausen Society, the International Forum of Deutsche Bank, invites applications for the first Deutsche Bank Urban Age Award, worth $100,000. The annual travelling award celebrates the Urban Age mission that connects the quality of life to the quality of the urban environment. Created to encourage people to take responsibility for their cities and form new alliances, the award will be given to projects that improve the physical conditions of communities and the lives of their residents. The first award will be presented to a Mumbai-based project later this year. Entries will be judged by an independent jury, chaired by Professor Ricky Burdett, Director, Urban Age and Centennial Professor in Architecture and Urbanism at the London School of Economics. Other jury members include Anthony Williams, the former Mayor of Washington DC, actress and activist Shabana Azmi, author Suketu Mehta, and architects Enrique Norten and Rahul Mehrotra.
