Jane Jacobs Urban Communication Publication Award
The Jane Jacobs Urban Communication Publication Award is named for the late social activist and author of The Death and Life of Great American Cities.
The book award honors an outstanding volume published in 2006-2009 addressing issues of urban communication. The award brings with it a $500 prize. An additional award will be given for a major journal article that addresses urban communication published in 2006-2009 and brings with it an award of $250.
Each nomination should include four copies of the nominated work, two supporting letters, a CV, and a brief statement exploring the relevancy and impact of the nominated work to the broad theme of urban communication.
Self-nominations are welcomed.

[b]The deadline for nominations is September 15, 2009[/b]. The award will be presented at the November 2009 annual meeting of the National Communication Association in Chicago. Author and/or publisher presence at the award ceremony is strongly encouraged.
