London, UK
NEW DEADLINE | 29.03.2013
UEL | University of East London
This international conference is aimed at researchers, policy makers and postgraduate students engaged with urban development issues arising from hosting mega events such as the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

CONFERENCE THEMES
In the recent period the urban transformation achieved by hosting the Olympics has become synonymous with the language of ‘legacy’. Now forming part of the Olympic Charter and an essential element of any city’s bid for hosting the Olympic Games, ‘legacy’ refers to the (positive) economic, cultural, environmental and social impacts that arise and continue to unfold long after the games are over.
