Urbanpromo 2007

[i]Urban and territorial marketing event [/i] Venezia, Istituto Veneto di Lettere, Scienze ed Arti, Palazzo Franchetti, 21-24 November 2007 Urbanpromo is an urban and territorial marketing event which aims to foster the growth of an effective urban, economic and environmental project culture, as to improve the quality of planning and design processes, and make urban planning markets more open and competition-oriented. Urbanpromo creates opportunities for public-private partnerships and interdisciplinary cooperation by setting up a place where a variety of different parties can meet and exchange ideas: Municipalities and other planning authorities, public agencies and private owners with real estate they wish to enhance, real estate agents, building firms, banks and bank foundations, property investors, brokerage companies, the developers and managers of large infrastructures, professionals and academics working in the various sectors involved. Urbanpromo was launched in 2004, focusing on urban renewal and change processes. In 2005 it broadened its scope to property and infrastructure investment, with special emphasis on mobility and transport. The third edition of Urbanpromo, while keeping its sights trained on urban and infrastructure projects, further expanded its interests to include territorial marketing. The 2006 edition of Urbanpromo involved 1,750 registered participants, 90 exhibitors, including public bodies and companies, over 300 speakers in 50 conferences and workshops, 12 university departments and 14 associations that organised their own events. The four days of Urbanpromo 2007 will address key themes on the agenda of urban change and local development players.
