New European Architecture 09/10

Boom publishers Amsterdam takes over A10 As of February 1, 2010, the magazine A10 new European architecture will be published by Boom publishers Amsterdam. The journal and its editorial staff are a valuable addition to Boom’s architectural division SUN architecture. The publishers trust that this new acquisition will further improve Boom’s access to the architecture, urban planning and landscape information market. A10 new European architecture was set up in 2004 by architectural historian and critic Hans Ibelings and graphic designer Arjan Groot. With a small team based in Amsterdam and a broad network of correspondents throughout Europe, A10 is often the first source, and sometimes the only one, on the latest developments in the field of architecture. Distributed Europe-wide, the journal has a fast-growing readership, and in the five years since it was set up it has established a solid position in the architectural media landscape. Future plans A10’s editorial staff will continue to produce six issues of the magazine per year. Boom and A10’s combined marketing and communication skills will make the journal even more effective, and the new partnership will result in A10's continuing expansion. A10 Yearbook 2009/2010 Following the takeover of A10, the 2009/2010 edition of the A10 Yearbook has been published by SUN architecture. Now in its third year, it provides a detailed survey of twenty projects that have already been presented in A10 magazine. The yearbook also includes new essays on the current state of architecture in Europe, as well as interviews. Essential reading for all those who want to keep track of international developments in architecture! For more information: www.boomamsterdam.nl
