On October 6th the first session, Cross-border landscapes, illustrates EU programmes and projects for integrated and sustainable development of transnational regions, and in particular of the territories across Italy, Austria and Slovenia; the second and the third sessions, Territories and Cities, propose reflections on policies and projects oriented towards the preservation and the enhancement of environmental and cultural resources of the territory, the reorganization and the arrangement into a system of the different components of urban landscape. On October 7th the fourth session, Urban districts, deals with issues referring to the upgrading and the renewal of parts of the city, and specifically of public housing and distressed areas; the fifth, Policies and tools, finally focuses discussion on the results of innovative experiences for sustainable planning, design and management of building, urban and territorial resources.
