[size=16]7th World congress of IALE from 8 to 12 july 2007, Wageningen The Netherlands[/size]

In 2007 the International Association for Landscape Ecology will have its 25th anniversary. The World Congress to be held in that year returns to the part of the world where it was founded, but now in an undivided Europe. There are new opportunities for old and young scientists alike, especially in sharing experiences of common problems with other continents and developing cooperation. The events of the past few months have shown that it is becoming ever more urgent to take a holistic view at landscapes and its ecological processes. It is intended that the world congress should be a forum to share our expertise and produce recommendations to the application of landscape ecological principles to world problems. The 7th World congress of IALE with the theme “25 years Landscape Ecology: Scientific Principles in Practice”, will be held from 8-12 July 2007 in Wageningen, The Netherlands. The scientific program will include plenary sessions, invited symposia, workshops, organized discussions, poster sessions and concurrent sessions of contributed oral presentations.
